The Ghosts

We live among you, but we're just hard to notice.
We're everywhere, in everyone.
Oh you know where to find us, you just don't care enough.
You can't see us, but we see you, no matter how hard you hide.
No matter what you say, what you feel, how long you abandoned us.
We know we can't find peace, but we love to try.
This is exactly who we are, aren't we?
The ghosts.
All we crave is love & all it matters is attention.
All we want is someone to love us, all we see is that someone loving someone.
We want a little appreciation for being quite, unnoticeable all the time.
But all you do is leave us alone in your closet.
It won't take that much too have a hand upon us too.
It's warm feeling, but we have to be buried in somewhere cold.
Cause this is exactly what we are, aren't we?
The ghosts.
You're afraid of us, cause you fear the truth.
You can't come across us, cause you know that we know true you.
You couldn't love us, you're just pretending.
Stop this too, we'll live.
We don't need your pity.
Cause this is exactly who we are?
The ghosts.
We must be buried in darkness, but remember this.
Someday something someone might allure us out.
When in blink of an eye you'll lose everything.
Then we want to remember you,
we'll be there as someone you'll regret about, someone you never noticed, someone who's far from home
Cause you didn't let us being home.
Cause you never wanted us.
Cause you dispute us.
Now you've lost us too.
Cause that's all we were, weren't we?
