And water
Fill the tub and get in
Scrub away your failings

I am cold as stone
And as unyielding

I do not ask for anything
...

We did little more than kiss
For hours
Although, you keep reminding me of
The other thing you say I did.

My children
Are not born from me
They were stolen
From my treacherous body
...

I stared my past in the eye today
And I walked away
All the tears i had shed -
Like silver rain-
...

in the greater scheme of things
nothing really matters
the marks
the fervent endeavours
...

She dared to apologise on my behalf,
she dared to ignore the slight
offending my brown skin.
She smiled. And shrugged her shoulders.
