Oh, Visceral Pain

Oh visceral pain, my cardiac chain,
Come to me, and drown me whole
Sting my nerves, all that swerves
Lets ride back diamond to coal.

Clenching fists, wrenching twists
Drill them deep in my heart
Break me down in morbid mists
And spray me every bone apart

Claim your sovereign power now
On this poet's singular breath
Grab me head to toes and allow
Me to scuttle to my dry death

Come with your venomous veil
Let me drink your brimming froth
Make me drowsy, make me pale
This seer needs to be a silent sloth

Enough of your gullible guilty games
There is a minstrel ready to burst in flames
Come now with your vulture wings
Just for you this corpse still sings

Oh ethereal pain, my razing rain
Come to me and take my soul
Have no mercy on me ever again
Numb and nude in this night's hole.
