I Was There

When the heart sank down,
I was there.
When the resentment took over,
I was there.
When the guilt was not vanishing,
when the regret was not perishing,
I was there.
When;
a dormant volcano of turmoil within,
waiting to explode;
a frozen sea of infant emotions,
craving to implode;
appalling enough,
to dismantle the far-frontiers of sanity;
invaded the dwellings of vanity,
I was there.

Why these uncomforts were happening?
I think, I know the 'reason';
yes! 'reason'.

When the reason came to be known,
when enemies of clarity were out-thrown;
oh! bloody hell, bullocks! (like a Briton)
Heart sank deeper,
resentment intensified,
guilt and regret unified.
Then when the rage took 'birth',
oppressing and vaporizing agents of mirth.
I certainly was there, pondering
like a spurned mistress of fate.

The 'baby-rage' became adult,
I am a liar!
it still is a 'baby'
crying but pretending of 'burning'.

This rage is bi-directional; 'inward' or 'outward'.
Dr. Melfi says: 'rage turned 'inward' is depression'.
When the rage turned 'inward',
I was there, but
is it a tragedy of probability, or
its all about lack of ability?
When the question remained question,
I was there, etching
my skull with a finger like a true fool.

The idea for 'hope':
clouds of tranquility will hover,
and soon, sun of normality will shower.

They say 'hope' is essential; though
glass-full hope is inconsequential.
It contaminates other emotion
few-times puts a man out-of-motion.
It blurs the vision,
betrays the reason.
Nonetheless, 'hope' is good
so the tide of hope followed,
weaklings! 'vision' and 'reason' were swallowed.
But soon the euphoric Tsunami settled and then eloped.
So when even the 'hope' proved to be useless,
I was there, standing
on forsaken island surrounded by sea of simple nothingness.

'She' called me to comfort her, I crossed the seven-seas;
and rushed to her like a 'lover';
protecting her from horror,
rescuing her precious honor.
Who is 'she'?
Different people call her different name,
though its all same.
I call her 'soul';
mother of 'will to life',
also my beloved wife.

So when she called me, like an affectionate husband;
I was there.
Staring at her, smiling at her, comforting her...
And my Lord silently nods, that this is the marriage since eternity to eternity;
how could I not be there! I had to be there, I was always there.
