This town has grown on me
The bus rides commonplace
The winter chills a norm
In life’s dreary race
...
I met a lady old
With 4 years on my dad
Her hair white, eyes twinkled
Her smile grateful glad
...
Of Town
This town has grown on me
The bus rides commonplace
The winter chills a norm
In life’s dreary race
Skyscrapers still greet me
As I descend to town
The river half frozen
And strangers who do frown
I’ve learned the seasons change
And bathed with summer’s heat
The work it hardly daunts
My blessings are replete
True patience still yearn for
And increase of faith
To find that purpose dear
And return to grace
