My nose is cold,
And my mom is getting old.
I moved out at seventeen,
...
My Nose Is Cold
My nose is cold,
And my mom is getting old.
I moved out at seventeen,
And then I had a dream.
A dream that lasted only 28 weeks.
I'm sitting back home now,
Wondering why and how...
I never thought I'd miss home,
Now that I have roamed.
My family basically disowned me after I moved out. Here, just in Barry County,2 out of every 11 family members have been disowned by their own flesh and blood.
I called my Nana everyday,
Got ahold of her
In every single way.
She cared,
But it didn't seem,
That my mom cared,
If it dealt with me.
I started senior year in 2018,
And moved back home with my fiancé last week.
My mom still yells and cusses and screams.
I just wish she'd show her love for me.
My siblings get what they want,
So maybe I'm just the runt.
My dad has 8 including me,
And my mom has just us 3.
Living with 2 separate families,
I'm torn.
My nose is cold, dad,
But please don't be sad.
I've made it this far,
And I even have my own car.
My nose is cold,
My fathers getting old.
Will he be here for graduation?
Probably not with the warrant on his back,
My mom filed for the support of the child.
Me.
I don't see a dime,
We're running out of time.
Mom,
I understand you use it for them.
It's just weird seeing that bottle in your hand.
My fathers a recovering alcoholic and sometimes I feel like my moms picking up the habit.
I know they're 3,000 miles away,
and haven't talked to each other since I was 8.
But the drinking is not a date.
A dad almost 3,000 miles away,
Knowing I can't stay.
He's got 7 to deal with already,
And all I have is a big brown teddy.
My moms not abusive,
She's just got a problem,
My dads not far away,
I just need his number again.
I have never met my biological brothers,
Mark, Lucas, Johnathan.
My sisters don't talk.
The only one who would,
Died last spring,
Due to pneumonia,
It's so sickening.
My moms getting help,
Or so she says.
Even with the welt,
And the emotional string.
My moms not mean,
Just needs a support team.
I'm trying to be the number one player,
But I'm just the loose layer.
It's snowing,
My nose is cold,
I'm the only one knowing,
I'm getting old.
My moms bipolar,
So is my dad.
They've been together,
And when they broke up it was bad.
We left in the middle of the night,
Gosh, I was in such freight.
My mom had made sure he stayed asleep.
But man did my stomach feel weak.
I've been through a lot,
As much of you have been.
My dad was into the bottle,
And he shouldn't have been.
My nose is cold,
My family is dysfunctional,
But that's okay,
We're all growing old.
