Blood and breath that fills with sorrow
Wake me up with haste tomorrow
Wake me with light of dawn
Through tired eyes and sleepless scorn

Words that slip from lips to floor
Burdened tongue and endless chore
Hands that grip at seams and cotton
For words that I have long forgotten

Thoughts that pour with lure and flutter
Talk so short and speech that stutters
Sentence circling round the drain
Suppress the fear inside my brain
