In the fields of Romania she toils
Dreaming of England and her spires
She undertook the long journey
After spending all her saved money
To a new world a new beginning
The chimes of the church bells bellow her winning

On the cold saturday night there she awaits
At the helm of the lions of Nottingham square
The lights are bright and merry as always
Laughter bellows from the pubs and hallways
She clutches in her hand those dark red roses
Waiting for love and then one approaches
'Please Sir buy one ' she says
