Every evening i hear the fellow next door quarreling with his wife
Their angry voices bring no joy to my life
For months on end between them it has been this way
One has to wonder why with each other they do choose to stay

A non speaking relationship is with one by sight you know
Though not any form of recognition between you does show
Between you and him or her it is never good evening, night or good day
You both pass by in silence with nothing to say
