I've been writing poetry for a long time. It helps me deal with my emotions and I just purely love it. Reading other poetry as well. I have 15 yr old twins that are the light of my life and they love reading what I write. I have also had 2 poems published and I am very humbled by it and also very proud to!)

Only God Knows Why

When the memories are gone what is left?
The pain in my heart...the hurt in my chest.
How long will it linger?
Hover above like a cloud.
I never wanted to be a disappointment,
I just wanted them to be proud.
I've let them down in so many ways,
my mind has grown dark...
Like the darkness in a cave.
Will the light ever shine through?
Only God knws what I will do...! !
The smile on my face is not true,
the water that falls...
Falls so blue.
Not knowing which way to turn,
the scars upon me will always burn.
I just want to make my wrongs right,
out of mind...out of sight!
The wounds on the outside,
don't compare to the ones that nol one sees.
They would bring the average person to their knees.
How i've survived only God knows why! !
