A Pain Of Glass
As I walked through my life I saw her.
Such beauty, such compassion, such loveliness in her soul.
The dreams I had dreamed had come to life.
And I saw her.
My heart reached out and touched her.
She was real, not a dream!
My spirit leaped skyward and stayed there.
In reverence I thanked, for a prayer answered.
Dare I reach for her?
Dare I tempt fate and try to make my dream really mine?
Dare I forget the pains of the past and once again offer my hand?
I reached for her.
The pain pierced my spirit.
The heartache tore open my soul.
