Mum

Thank you Mum for always being there, You've shown me nothing but love, devotion and care, Your kids were your world, it was so clear to see, As a parent Mum, your an inspiration to me, I hope one day to be a parent too, And reflect the love to my children that I received from you, And though money was scarce in the days of my youth, Thanks to the sacrifices you made, I was unburdened by this truth, The childhood you gave me was happy, bright and warm, And when things were bad, you gave me shelter from the storm, Your the rock of our family, you've now taken Nans place, Of you she'd be proud, you do it with grace, I'm so proud that I can call you my Mum, And of what you've achieved and who you've become, In my darkest of hours, you were there for me, You gave me guidance when I could no longer see, your not just my Mother, your my best friend, this special bond that we share will last till the end.
