Falling In And Out Of Love
I leave my wife every day
A kiss on her lips as she sleeps
A long, focused gaze upon her face
She is alone to take care of our children
I love her for all she does
I cannot do what I do without her love and support
Yet at times I fall out of love
Angry and bitter at the mother of my children
I leave again but not to work
I leave my kindness and compassion
To think of things to drive my anger
I bring unhappiness to my home
A gift not wanted but given
Realization of my feelings
Leaves me sad and depressed
I think of the person who I am
And the person I want to be
To shrink the distance between that gap
Is happiness and self assurrance
I fall in love again
This seemingly endless cycle
Falling in and out of love
A game of pulling flower petals
With hopes it ends with she loves me
