Where did you go my dear ones?
Whom some heartless called homeless
Where did you go on this rainy day?
What will you do on this rainy night?

Where did you go?
What did you do?
To find some warmth
To stop the shivering
On this cold night

My heart goes out to you
My dear ones
I am sorry some heartless
Named you homeless
As I lay warm, on my bed
There is no shivering in my body
But there is suffering in my heart
As I think about you

Oh! How I wish
My home could take in all of you
Oh! How I wish
There was some way
To find the real needy among you

But…
At this moment all I can do
Is offer a prayer for you
