A Vision

Babe you came in my dream tonight,
I saw a glimpse of your face, shimmering bright,

I was in a dark cold room, with the candle lit,
Had a fast beating heart and a pair of sealed lips,

You came towards me and whispered in my ear,
Said something softly which I did not hear,

I gazed in your eyes and you gazed into mine,
I saw a sparkle which made me feel fine,

I shut my eyes and held you close,
And then I felt your heart, beating slow,

Together we stood with our bodies entwined,
About to kiss but then the clock struck nine,

I opened my eyes but so no one around,
Apart from a candle that had just burnt out.
