Biography of the Poet Samiul Asad: -------------------------------------------------------- Poet Samiul Asad is a Merchant Marine Officer by profession. He was born 28 September,1996 in a Muslim family in the village of Diargarfa, Baraigram Police Station, Natore District. He has four family member including his father, mother and younger sister. He studied at the Bangladesh Marine Academy, the highest marine school in Bangladesh. 'Bangladesh Marine Academy' is one of the fourteen branches of the 'World Maritime University, Sweden'. Samiul Asad started writing his poems while studying in class 8. So far, more than 50 of his poems have been published in various journals of the country. নাবিক -সামিউল আসাদ

তপ্ত বালি- কৃষ্ণ সাগর, ঘুরিয়াছি আমি সাত সমুদ্দুর।
লোহিত বর্ণ সন্ধ্যা তারা, সুনীল জলে ডলফিনের খেলা।
দেখেছি আমি বসফরাস ঘুরে, রংধনু তুমি ম্লান এখানে।
স্বপ্নপুরি কল্পনা আঁকায়, বাস্তবতায় তাও হার মেনে যায়।
আমি তো শ্যাম কৃষ্ণবর্ণ, কত দেখেছি সাদা হলুদ বর্ণ।
মরুভূমির উষ্ণতা গায়ে, বরফ জলে তিমি দেখেছি,
পাহাড় ও জলের সন্ধি দেখেছি, সাগরকন্যার রুপ দেখেছি -
ঘুরিয়াছি আমি কতনা দেশে, মুক্তমনা পাখির বেশে।
নানা দেশের তৃপ্ত স্বাদে, পিপাসিত তবু ডাল আর ভাতে।
কত ভাষার ভিন্ন সূরে, বাংলাই আমার মধুর লাগে।
আটলান্টিকে ভাসিয়েছি ভেলা, পাড়ি দিয়েছি প্রশান্ত-
ফেনিল জলে দূরত্ব কষে, হইনি এখনো ক্ষান্ত।
তুষার ঝড়ে কেঁপেছি কোথাও, বসন্ত দেখেছি কুনমিংএ-
ষড় ঋতুর বাংলা আমার, ভুলিনি আমি তোমারে।
কতযে শহর বন্দর ঘিরে, ভিড়িয়েছি ভেলা তারা গুনে গুনে।
লক্ষ মাইল পাড়ি দিয়ে শেষে, অসীম পথের পথিক-
আমি যে স্বদেশ ছাড়া, চির অক্লান্ত এক নাবিক।
