SandySue Burnworth Poems

My husband I love you, in my way.
You in turn love me in your way.
I kiss you and say I love you,
You make me breakfast in bed.

One day I'll grow up and leave you, she would say.
One day I'll make my own rules, she would declare.
One day I'll have a daughter of my own, she would cry.
One day I'll be a mommy, you'll see, she would proclaim.

Love Me In Your Way

My husband I love you, in my way.
You in turn love me in your way.
I kiss you and say I love you,
You make me breakfast in bed.
I reach across the table, and touch you.
You bring me my hot chocolate.
I stroke your arm and whisper softly in your ear,
You smile at me.
You love me in your way, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
