Loneliness

no sound
silence
cold and bare
something that can't be told
I feel it
in my own way
bare branches
trees
whispering a secret
of lonely dreams...
I touch
my own hand
so cold
the air....
velvety
quiet
a gull cries
distantly
flies....
to a distant place
the hungry sky
stares down at my face
so blank
so white....
like a shell
lost in the sand
locked in myself
all forgotten
no one knows
no one cares
emptiness....
a teardrop
like the melting snow
salty
maybe sweet
who knows
who cares....
touches my lips
can't taste
can't see
but feel
in my own way
that
to eternity
I shall
always
be LONELY....
