When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.
...
If we knew the cares and crosses
Crowding round our neighbor’s way;
If we knew the little losses,
Sorely grievous day by day,
...
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
...
The aura is scintillating
As unscathed as ever,
It is beckoning me to explore,
The arcane of a thrilling endeavor.
...
In the solemn vacuum of the neurons of my heart,
Came some retrospective turbulence,
Suddenly enough, I gave a start
...
I felt an exuberant upbeat,
With heavenly attires prest at my feet
Not long ago I was fragmented
Happiness was no longer my friend…
...
Across roads and pathways,
They lay plaintive; cursed in agony;
Never to speak up again.
They lie in various knots and often jut,
...
He Had A Name
When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd ended
not one was quite the same.
He said, 'I'll walk this globe of mine
and bestow each one with a name.'
And so He trodded far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it's strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little mortal said,
'Dear God,
there's not one left for me.'
Kindly, the Father said to him,
'I've left you till the end.
I've twisted my own name back to front
and called you dog, my friend.
