As I Lie Awake And Wonder

I want to know what happened
to the golden rules,
to the promises and my few
true know-for-sures.
I want to know where my honesty went
to myself.
I know who has taken it,
but i can't ask the other side of me
where its been placed.
We are so very rarely ever
capable of being in the same place.
