Dangerous Waters

We were two complete strangers
But soon I was your friend
I quickly learned the waters were full of dangers
And it became a trend
The pattern went on without an end
It breaks me down
You broke my heart and it won't mend
In these waters I will drown.

If only I were able
To turn my back
On your stories and fables
But our friendship is over, the tunnel is  black
I always feel under attack
Why did you push me around?
I had the kindness you lack
In these waters I will drown.

You took a knife and stabbed me
Brought tears to my eyes
But out here in the black sea
You can't hear my cries
When it came to trusting I never was too wise
I always end up with a frown
All you ever will be is a fool with a disguise
In these waters I will drown.

I have to admit I'll miss you
My heart is another's now
But I know it's true
In these waters I will drown.
