Shadow Vanity Poems

Sitting in the dark, she hears a voice calling to her. *Shadow... Shadow, Come away from the edge. It's not safe. I don't want you to fall. It's too soon for you to leave the earth. Put down the knife Shadow Don't cause yourself any more pain. It's not worth it. Life will get better, that I promise you. I know that I'm no longer with you but life will go on. I know they hurt you and I know you can't take it. But my dear, you are the strongest girl that I know.

Silently she sits in the grass, un-moving, her ear twitches as she hears a rabbit in the brush. Getting up, she stalks the rabbit. The rabbits nose twitches softly and it turns spotting her. She stops in her tracks as she notices the rabbit looking at her. The rabbit takes off running, but is too slow.

A single tear hits the floor as she looks at the knife that use to spread her feelings around. Her body trembles as she thinks about all the lies that he told to her, saying that he loved her then kissing another infrount of her. Obviously she wasn't worth his time and obviously he didn't care what happends to her.

On Crimson wings you fly threw then darkened night sky. I watch in amazement and wonder as you sore above me. Closing your crimson wings you start an intricate spiral dive twords the ground nearest me. As you near the ground your crimson wings unfurl slowing the impact of your landing. I stare in amazement as you walk twords me your wings a brilliant shade of red agents the dark night sky.

I saw you today...You walked right past me... I smiled. I wondered if you missed me.... Seeing the sad look on your face confirmed what I knew. You were still grieving over me. As you stop I walk up behind you and hold you close, whispering softly, 'It's okay to let me go. I know you miss me but it's time for me to leave this earth..I need to move on.' My little sister so sweet and kind... you've grown up and seem to have left something behind... upon growing up there is one thing you need to hear, I love you still and always will. Remember when we were kids? We use to play in the snow.... Making snowmen and snow angels... though were the days... I miss seeing you smile, I miss hearing you laugh at the stupidest of things,

Hello, For those of you who don't know me, my name is Shadow Vanity. My poetry can be very dark. I let my feelings flow, much like I'm doing now. My poems are little snip-its of who I am. In the end we all end up in the same place. I do not believe in a heaven or a hell. I believe that we all one day will wander the earth as spirits.

Days go by and I sit here and wonder why I feel so alone. Even in a room full of twenty people I can still feel invisible. People walk past me in the halls without even a side ways glance. or the smallest hint of a smile. I feel so terribly alone these days. Without you by my side to say that everything will be okay. It use to be that I could stand in a room with a hundred or more people and with one smile at me you could silence that entire room.
