Through dreary eyes I spy the lonesome figure of Misery, dancing in the shadows of darkness.
Her outstretched arms begging for a painful embrace.
I waste no time with small talk, I am in flight- An eagle on the prowl of the spectacular.
Resting on the flimsy branches of choice, I close my eyes to the spy that was me.
...

I lay lifeless
Zapped of my will to do
Blankly staring at the stucco designs of my empty ceiling
My shallow breath
...

Not a moment of sunshine
Nor second of moonlight passes
That you don't either twist my heart into a radiant smile
Or cause it to melt into a horrid scowl
...

My smile, no longer belongs to me- it has been captured,
Caught in the web of your captivating beauty.
Sentenced to stare into your lovely eyes,
Only to yearn for more.

The Dawn

Through dreary eyes I spy the lonesome figure of Misery, dancing in the shadows of darkness.
Her outstretched arms begging for a painful embrace.
I waste no time with small talk, I am in flight- An eagle on the prowl of the spectacular.
Resting on the flimsy branches of choice, I close my eyes to the spy that was me.
For how can I make it home-when I know not where my heart is.
