Father, is it really noxious to store up wealth?
Is it not astonishing how much I gain from them both?
Why do they say in this world we should not pledge an oath?
Is there a role in it stunting our spiritual growth?
Must we really contemplate life's evils in silent stealth?
Yet, so painful a life to forfeit why are we loath?
Do you know to God alone we must pledge our troth?
