Jessica

A sweet little girl,
born on the 18th of October.
She was new to the world,
so everyone charished her.

Born pre-mature her first year passed,
along with her second.
She was growing too fast,
for her 18th birthday she had reckoned.

Jessica was now five,
and she met a new friend.
She was so happy to be alive,
she never though about the end.

Jessica was finally eleven,
and Josh was now six.
Oblivious to knowing she was closer to heaven,
this was something she couldn't fix.

Life at that age got harder,
as she was seventeen.
Jessica was closer to what would occur,
she was almost free from a type of quarintine.

That long year passed along,
now it's her 18th birthday and her last.
As she packed up she stayed head strong,
and now her last few months had passed.

It was the 22nd of february,
she hadn't talked to Josh in about a year.
It was a cold dark night that was quite scary,
what happened was what many would fear.

She was riding her bike along a highway,
she wanted to see her boyfriend.
Her mom wished she would just stay,
so sad right there was the end.

On her way she looked ahead at two headlights,
the driver wasn't paying attension.
She got hit with the pain of a snakebite,
but all that driver felt was an awkward subtraction.

My mother finally got the call,
she was gone and not coming back.
Then my brother josh was stuck in a freefall,
now all he has is a missed flashback.
