Shaki Liburd Poems

So here we are together just the two of us, alone.
Hand in hand, hip to hip, rocking from side to side.
We cling together, our hearts racing, our palms sweating and minds wondering. We sit here only to be tossed and swayed by the mighty wind. Trampled by the cruelty of this thing called life.
we got kicked, pushed and slapped. I stand strong but I am falling apart. There you stand, trying to be my super hero.

Along The Line Of Perseverance.

I look at you once more before I take my dreadful fall to destiny.
You run to me but I am like oil running through your fingers.
But this time I take hold, I run to you.
There is this invisible force bounding us together; inseparable.
Is it worth it? Should I fight on?
Should I fight the wind that is working against us?
I was told that if two things belong together, no matter what comes between them, they will never be separated.
No matter how much you try to tear them apart, they always come back to each other.
Should I fight on or should I let go?
And let life trample over me and swallow me whole.
Once and for all.
