Too many of my friends are gone-
Many have died
Others have left this world while in this world-
What joy is there in life when one no longer has friends to talk to?
...

We pray for life
And for forgiveness of sins
For the coming year
...

Ingratitude is a Sin-
God has given me so much
...

Having nothing to do
Is one of the worst things in the world-
Feeling idle and useless
Makes the person sick inside-
...

At a certain time in the morning
The world becomes different
...

Why did God have to rest from Creation
When Creation was the very essence and joy
Of God’s Being?

Or did God need
...

Like the last soft light
Of the infinite night
And the silence
Which will re-echo
...

I would not go to it-
I would stay here
Here where my Universe is.

And I would try to love it more,
...

I sang and laughed with them
They were the joy of my inner life
I had no more happier times
Than when I was writing them-
...
