Mother, Why Me?

I begged for attention...
as you were looking for your next fix.
I cried for something...
I'd never get.
Sometimes I love you...
sometimes I don't.
I ask you to change...
but I know you won't.
You put me through hell...
as if it were a game.
Oh wait mommy laughing and joking...
was never your thing.
I have to admit...
you were a crazy one.
You huffed, puffed, snorted, and choked...
I'm surprised I didn't walk in one day...
and see you had croaked.
You would lie, steal, and deceive...
yet my stupid love you received.
You wept, cried, and almost died...
and the whole time I was by your side.
You left, walked out, and went away...
when you came back, for some reason I stayed.
