Today Is The Day

Having an uncontrollable urge to speak,
But never speaking.
Holding on to real passion,
But never realizing.
I find myself trapped in the power of your gaze,
Unable too escape this inescapable maze.
Your image is embedded deep within my mind; is this a game,
How can you encompass my mind and I not know your name.
I’m in a store where I may look but not touch,
I realize that my hesitation is my crutch.
It keeps me from doing what I should,
What I must.
Something as simple as hello,
Would make my heart blush.
Wondering what is proper,
What should I do.
Should I smile, Should I look,
Should I say something to you.
This is my problem,
This keeps me away.
Just wanted you to know; you’re in my thoughts,
Just wanted to say that today is the day.
