Mean thoughts and cheap shots
High school’s not always fun
Nothings ever what you thought
You can’t trust anyone

Sometimes you feel like giving in
Just try to stay strong
You’re walking on ice when you’re told it’s too thin
But choosing to let go is horribly wrong

Not being sure of who you are is fine
Standing out seems dangerous; blending in seems dumb
Some people take a while; you’ll have your chance to shine
Stereotypes are something you’ll have to overcome

So don’t laugh at her because she’s a late bloomer
Or make fun of him because he dresses like a freak
Don’t start or listen to any kind of rumor
Because on the inside no one’s popular; no one’s a geek
