Shiloh Shelton Poems

I am the the dark angel that walks amongst you
Cast down from heaven, I'm faithless
My once white wings, now charred black and hollow
Crimson tears fall, it's hopeless
...

As I walk through the valley of death
I fear no evil, for I am evil
The lost souls call out to me, wailing so helplessly
Men, women, and children, have been waiting for centuries
...

I have become so jaded about religon
based on the judgements you have made of me
You called me a sinner, but somehow
You won't forgive me
...

Fallen Angel

I am the the dark angel that walks amongst you
Cast down from heaven, I'm faithless
My once white wings, now charred black and hollow
Crimson tears fall, it's hopeless

I know who you are, you're searching for me
Your soul told me, it needs me
I know you cannot set yourself apart from me
Your shadow told me, it wants me

I walk by you to make you shudder, to put fear in you heart when I am near
Light as you know it, will no longer be, darkness is what sets you free
I hiss your sinister secrets, to play and tempt you wickedly
Acknowledge who I am, as I hold out my hand

Don't you know I am the opposite of what you strive to be
I visit you in your dreams to hear you plead with me
Your once clear tears fall crimson at my feet
I hear you screaming, God, please forgive me

Your halo gone, your feathers charred black and hollow
You tremble as I lean down to kiss your crimson tears
As I pull you close, I whisper in your ear, Some angels are destined to fall
Isn't darkness amazingly clear
