You are the first light when I open my eyes
You are the first sip of a morning drink
You are the smell of spring

I fell hard and fast for you
But caught myself just before I hit the concrete Love street
Landed slowly on my knees, didn’t get a scratch
I didn’t stay down long either, I got up in a flash

Something about your name on the screen
Made me want to listen to your words
Like tearing a match from it’s book
Then you commented something to me
...

Drawing a blank and I feel the need to write
I must get a written poem out of me by tonight
The energy is there but my thoughts are scattered
So many different topics, so many things that matter
...

I have never felt anything so real in my life
I have been with men, I have felt some form of love
At least at the time
But love doesn’t fade
...

I started to feel extremely displaced
I knew I had outgrown this place
The air is still, moving at a snail’s pace
My movements are constipated
...

In the silent night the King’s horses are galloping
The King’s Knights are here for me
Grabbed me out of my bed, out of my dreams
Bagged my head so I couldn’t see, shackled my hands
...

I have dreamed of a specific love since I was 14
In a re-occurring dream over all the years
A faceless love it was
Never once did I see a face

I dreamed of you
It was the best dream
It was full of love, life, and laughter
At the same time
...

Joy gently rocks you awake
You open your eyes and the corners of your mouth curl
There begins a muffled voice from within that greets your soul
Its says GM, You are Love
