Waiting...

Leaves lost all color.
Flowers became grey,
Blending with the sky,
As if death was astray.

He grieved in his lonesome,
And sadly glanced up high,
Longing for the moment,
To meet another's eye.

He wandered through the land,
Looking for some other,
His effort went in vain,
He could look no further.

He looked upon the clouds
And slowly closed his eyes,
Yearning for another
To whom there are no lies.

Yearning without end
For one to call...
a friend
