The pale purple light atop the trees
Hastening to flee like murmuring sound
Of sluggish leaves and winds around
With languid mind longing for ease.

Coffin-Bound

Woodoo worked and thunder pealed
A greenish light befell the grave
From coffin came out rotten corpse
As through from sickly humid cave.

His lungs were hanging out of ribs
And putrid brain on either side
The ichor flowed out of one eye
And tattered jaw was open wide.

Now Peter waved his magic wand
and cut his head in joyous mood
Then put the body coffin bound
From whence it cam amongst the wood.

he felling love with wizard aid
and put the world in weird thrall
and did the things detestable
Four souls were at his beck and call.

One stormy night he ate and drank
and lounged along his gloomy lawn
The headless body squeezed his neck
And lay by him at horrid dawn.
