Darkness surrounds my heart and mind
Cloudy images of a life gone by
Untrue to myself I gave you a try
only to have you make me cry
like a fool I continued to try
Erasing my dreams and beliefs
turning a blind eye
My heart and soul cried
I denied
Tears not for you and I but tears for what I denied
All along I played make believe
Playing the role of a fool you see, but no longer do I deny
My pain will run through my veins until the day I die
Never to be denied it lies behind your eyes
I will not deny

your heart belongs to no one
So shallow and vain, your so insane
Not one to bend your pride
This can't be denied
