Yearning

Doomed in my own home
my castle turned
to shades of scarlet.
Not of the sunset, you linger on
but by the blood, my pride bathed in.
The angels flew to corners
and sky broke all the peace
He stood there, numb. Dead
pale but Dead
I looked again with some courageous hope
at my king's crown
But he vanished, a last sigh of pain.
I burn lanterns and tie knots;
It has been ages
they took my son for burial. Never to return
But moons after, I plead for mercy
For my crown is gone
And yet to return.
