How much I would have liked
If the laws of Hammurabi
were now practiced,

As it was in the old days
eye for eye was paid
and tooth for tooth
was revenged.

so that I can accuse you at court.
saying that “I love you, deep from my heart”
being sure for the court
to sentence you as my prospect
“Love him as he loved you,
deep from your heart”

Really, that would have been
more than perfect.
Oh my darling and queen of my heart.
