Sonya Watts Biography

I am a teacher of English and Drama, shortly to become a Year 2 teacher. I have been writing poems since the tender age of 11. My father was a lyricist in a Pyschadelic rockband named House of Nimrod. Whislt I never really knew him (i was adopted) I am pleased to know my heritage. His lyrics in some later poems written, for children, were sensational.)

So We Sit

So we sit
Contemplating
Life in all its wonders
But the day will come
When we’ll be wanting
What it can never give
So gird your loins
And prepare the ground
Of the heart and all its plantings
For tomorrow brings
A new day dawn
And in it the answers sending
