The Ending Of A Love Story

I could have been alone. Moving swiftly towards my dreams. I would have still been able to wear my size 7 jeans. I could have been on my own, seizing opportunities as if they grew like weeds.

But I chose you.

And those dreams, those jeans, and those opportunities, were not as tempting as being with you. The life I could have had was just too mediocre compared to the life you offered.

It was a wonderful promise.

Besides, I couldn’t have had her on my own. The one thing I love the most.

Those dreams, those jeans, and those opportunities cannot compare. I can live without them, but she is my air.

And you were once the steady ground beneath my feet. You were once the lifesaver that kept me a float.

And because of that, I chose you.

Although, if I knew the bitter ending my choice had in store. I would have been alone.
