Soumen Chattopadhyay Biography

Soumyen Chattopadhyay (soumen chattopadhyay) born 22 November 1977, is an Indian Bengali poet known for his contribution to contemporary modern Bengali poetry and literature.

His literary work reflects social consciousness, regional memory, and philosophical inquiry, often blending poetic sensibility with intellectual depth.
Soumyen Chattopadhyay was born in Madhutati, near Raghunathpur, in the present-day Purulia district of West Bengal, India. Village, Madhutati, adjacent to Chottonagpur rocky area.

Grew up in an environment where he has seen tribal village festivals in the lap of hills, virgin nature of dry rocky soil and tragedies of mankind.
In this strange world of simultaneous beauty and pain he believes that there is no true begining, no true end and life lies just under the surface of death.

Poems were published to various literary magazines from Bangladesh, Europe USA—Canada like poemhunter, all poetry, modern poetry block college street' ' Charjapod ', ' Tristoop ', ' Astorag ', ' Sankha chiler vasa ', ' Swarobanjon Krishnasis ', ' kobiwala ' Dhyan, Durgapur Review, Harmoney etc.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Vidyasagar University, Midnapore and studied Electronics and Radio Physics.He later pursued postgraduate education in both Physics and Engineering (M.Sc & M.Tech) .

Professionally, Chattopadhyay is associated with Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) , a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, where he works in a technical capacity
