She goes inside the temple,
She prays in front,
I believe in GOD, outside the door.
...

I have dreamt through the boring lectures,
The befalling season of autumn,
With a heart like dead red leaves,
Falling from the branches.
...

They came across the country.
They came in numbers.
They washed life's sin in the holy waters.
They praised the Lord's name.
...

Have taken ride on his rikshaw,
Once in a while, Yet
Never cared to know his life, though
Argued a many, for a rupee or two.

The Other Side Of The Door

She goes inside the temple,
She prays in front,
I believe in GOD, outside the door.

She keeps her eyes closed,
And believes in mantras,
My belief doesn’t have those.

I keep my eyes open,
Yet I don’t see HIM on the throne,
She sees HER beyond her dreams.

I can feel,
I can sense,
But she saw.

She does religion,
I do my karma,
We are at “The other side of the Door”.
