A Lover Lost

A lover drowned in lies,
The truth would start a war,
She saw it in his eyes,
And he just wanted more.

A lover in a fight,
A promise, for the one,
She thought he was the light,
But light, he has shown none.

A lover lost in vain,
A scapegoat's death no more
The loss was too much pain,
An oath he never swore.

A lover not existing,
She cries over his grave,
Wanting and persisting,
To climb out of her cave.
