Stella Mary Poems

Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneaking out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
'Cause it's late and your mama don't know
...

Do you remember?
When we shared everything
The last brownie, that one of a kind dress
The tears of our grief
...

Try to tell me what I shouldn't do
You should know by now I won't listen to you
Walk around with my hands up in the air
Cause I don't care (care)
...

5.

The one that's gonna get me through another day
Doesn't really matter how I feel inside
This life is like a game sometimes

Our Song

Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneaking out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
'Cause it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date 'man, I didn't kiss her, and I should have'
And when I got home, 'fore I said amen
Asking God if he could play it again
