Why Just Friends?

Here we are
alone again
And still you said
we're better off as friends.

But we never do
what true friends do
Your never here for me
or I you.

I don't understand
why we fight it so much
Because I still get lost
in you gentle touch.

You knew me better
then anyone has ever
And I thought that feeling
would last forever.

Mabey with time
it would be nice
To get another chance
and make it right.

But until then
I have one last thing to say
I still love you
and think of you each and every day.
