The Mount Delectable

The mount delectable so rarely seen,
harkens forth with fruits to glean.
If ever was that knowledge true
that passes through the glorious hue.

Knowing good means knowing bad
for something was that all have had.
Without the lows of evil deeds,
joy's grand shadow cannot lead.

If all was rose and blissful mist,
we would not know without the fist.
The hammer falls on lifeless nail
to hang the honored wedding veil.

Without the dark, light is hidden
within the view it is forbidden.
The contrast is what does define
this shattered path of life: divine.
