A Generation Lost

I may be young, but not dumb and nieve, for the way things are that's all that I see.

This new generation is uneducated seems like yesterday's parents are long forgotten faded.

See, the computer was invented for betterment of humanity but now social media has exploited youth vanity.

We all use tobe social even with people we didn't know, but now our eyes hands ears are constantly glued to our phones.

We complain about our food and the strange ingredients they contain, yet families go homeless with not a crumb on their plate.

We care more about performers and trials and tribulations that they face, when during a time of war bombs go off in a child's face.

We use to be so active, playing ball together, now kids stay inside stuck on their gaming console, even In good weather.

Sundays were a time for families under the steeple, but now we cuss, punch and fight as if we were an equal.

How can we preach our religions by giving bad judgement to others then turn around to tell the children 'Don't judge a book by it's cover.'

Kids will be kids at least that's what we once thought, but now in the youngest boys and girls all Innocence is lost.

It's not just the kids who have no sense of directions it's adults, people, humans of all races, young, old, a vast range of ages.

How much more time, blood and money will we cost it's sad to say that this generation is lost.
