Hang Not Your Head

Smile now, hang not your head;
I am not gone, though I am dead.
When powerful emotion brings you to your knees;
When your hair is tussled by most gentle breeze;
If your heart is torn by mournful song;
If the place you are is not the place you belong;
In places of despair, where hope is enveloped by the sea,
These are places you'll find me.

Smile now, hang not your hear;
I am not gone, though I am dead.
When about your lips forms tightest smile;
When your life is devoid of all things vile;
If you feel a rythme in your chest;
If your head has found its place to rest;
In moments of silence, when your soul leaps the ground,
These are times I'll be found.
