A Normal Day

body is drained and left in bed
nothing matters as you watch the clouds outside instead
back again the same thing tomorrow
the same suit and tie that you borrow
hear the sounds of the keyboards pound
thinking of the mossy stone up on the mound
flailing your arms hoping someone will stop
they drive you to your temporary hole at the top
open the door and the light shines bright
the bubbly brew is such a nice delight
turn on the box and know whats in store
close your eyes and wish for something more
