Comments about Stewart Rodricks
To My Mistress
Venus arising from the waves
Or Marilyn Monroe from her bath,
Though beauties fit for artists' raves,
Are to my queen as merest chaff.
Stripped by the wind, 'fore which they fly,
She glist'ning stands in our love's caves
Where trembling at her feet I lie,
In friendly dark, as mutual slaves.
Blindfold with joy, lost in her bonds,
Her fruited lips my mouth now laves
And succoured by her sweetest fronds
Her prisoner all her dangers braves.
Thus, have thy wound and pinions set me free
To be Love's slave - and that means slave to thee.
