When your world is full of Violence
It's hard to see the light
When your world is full of pain
That you suffer day and night
How do you cry for help
When there is no end in sight
And you try to spare your children

When you feel you have no choices

When he in your pain rejoices
And wallows in your fright
Do you still defend him
Saying, " it will be alright"
When you're an outlet for his anger

When you wait in silent anguish

When he takes you when he likes
When you think there's no respite
From his need to feel a man
When he beats you as his right
Don't stay and hide the bruises
Reach out and find the light

When it's time to take a stand

When you've given all you can
Don't give up the fight
When your children watch you suffer
When it happens in their sight
No longer stand the tears
